We are a family run team who took over Truly Scrummy in November 2019. Our story started in London where Karl took on a role and developed a hospitality business in East London and met Lucy who was a Regional Events Manager (and is now Karl's wife). We later moved back to Karl's home soil and have a family who enjoy the local community. Our Team enjoy working together and creating an experience that is truly special.

Karl and Lucy moved to Horsforth when expecting children and appreciate the local area for the community and vibrant family friendly town that it is. We welcome families to enjoy the cafe and groups to use our meeting space as a community hub.

After working in a variety of hospitality and events venues we have a passion for food and presentation. We source and provide fresh local ingredients to create unique specials that you just won’t be able to get anywhere else.
We have an exceptionally sweet tooth and love of food which you will be able to see from the moment you sample some of our treats, which are made fresh on site. We have also teamed up with local businesses to showcase their products in our gift shop as we believe in shopping local, reducing our carbon footprint and keeping things as environmentally friendly as possible.

Absolutely incredible food from the Saturday Tapas. We always call and get coffee and lunch from Truly Scrummy on our walks and thought we would give the tapas menu a try. It was soooo delicious!!!! We will 100% be ordering again it was so fresh and tasty! Highly recommend

My husband and I had a lovely family lunch with our toddler and new born. We were made to feel very welcome. Our toddler, who is normally a fussy eater, loved his ham hock sandwich. I felt very comfortable breastfeeding. It's so refreshing to find a busy café that welcomes families.
